In order to combat my lack of blogging consistently, I thought to myself "Why not just make a new blog on another web host and give it a new design and everything?" Will it work? Stay tuned.

I currently have a blog on Wordpress and because I'm too lazy to code, it wasn't looking too good. I've blogged on and off for a long time. It started like any other teenager on Tumblr, including a fashion blog with a friend which seems to have disappeared due to inactivity, though the Blogspot is still chillin. My mediocre Lookbook lives on, too.

I eventually stopped Tumblr and our little fashion blog died out, but I still wanted to keep blogging. It was hard in college because I mainly wanted outfit posts and finding someone to follow me around and take pictures of outfits was a little silly. I tried a few times freshman year but it really didn't work. Then, one New Year's Eve, I made my Wordpress, which became a journal of sorts. I was in a relationship and talked a lot about that and tried to do daily posts, which didn't even last 2 weeks. When my 2 year relationship ended, it became a place for talking through that, which I still am really glad I did.

Then, I've tried to do more outfit posts and it just seemed like a weird juxtaposition so I haven't been consistent. So now we're here. I really want something to not only showcase my style and who I am, but somewhere to house a portfolio and post more lifestyle stuff and less...life stuff. I'm going to keep my Wordpress, so if you ever want to read personal musings, go for it over there.

So for here, hi, I'm Shelby. I'm 22 and just graduated from UC Santa Cruz. I am currently working as a video intern on campus and my next steps will come in September. Not sure what those will be, but hey at least I have a newly-designed blog??
